The supply of temperature-controlled and refrigerated (reefer) storage and mobile power generation is a major specialisation here at Container for sale.

Temperature controlled containers – normally referred to as ‘reefers’ – can be provided in standard sizes of 20′ & 40′or larger if required.

Container for sale reefer containers are either ‘all-electric’ e.g. requiring externally-provided power or, where a self-sustaining power solution is required, we can supply diesel-powered generators. These special applications range from rail transport on trains or where other forms of power are unavailable such as post-disaster relief.

Where an external power source is preferred, two principal formats of generator (known as gensets) are available from us:

• a ‘clip-on’ or nose-mount unit fixed to the front upper part of the container can be lifted with the host container either from trailer to trailer or from trailer to railcar or from railcar to ground.

• an under-mount unit attached to the trailer. This application is preferred by operators requiring regular access to the generator set or where the trailer is used extensively or exclusively with reefer containers and the operator can allocate a dedicated fleet to hauling temperature controlled cargo.
